Involvement in Grants and Projects:

SAsSy (Scrutable Autonomous Systems) (2012-2015)
Collaborator on the EPSRC funded SAsSy project at the University of Aberdeen. The main aim of the SAsSy project was to enable the scrutiny of autonomous systems by allowing agents to generate plans through argument and dialogue, while justifying the purpose of each step within the joint plan. Within the project I lead the development of the mathematical theory to be implemented in software by the project team's research assistant.
LAAMIcomp (LAAMI, computational aspects) (2011-2012)
Primary author of an approved PhD project proposal funded by FNR, performed in collaboration with the Luxembourg School of Finance. The project focused specifically on the computational aspects of the LAAMI project, and provided employment to PhD student MikoĊ‚aj Podlaszewski, of whom I was one of the supervisors.
LAAMI (Logical Approaches for Analyzing Market Irrationality ) (2011-2012)
Primary author of an approved project proposal funded by FNR, performed in collaboration with the Luxembourg School of Finance. The aim was to apply techniques developed in formal argumentation and knowledge representation to simulate market behavior. This was done by equipping every simulated market participant with a reasoning engine based on argumentation and nonmonotonic inference, and to examine their collective behavior. The project provided employment for me during my last two years in Luxembourg.
DYNARG (The Dynamics of Argumentation) (2010-2012)
Co-author of an approved proposal, co-funded by FNR (Fonds National de la Recherche, Luxembourg) and CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, France). The project provides employment to both a postdoc and a PhD student.
AASTM (Advanced Argumentation Services for Trust Management) (2007-2010)
Co-author of an approved project proposal, internally funded by the University of Luxembourg. The project provided employment for me as well as for a PhD student (Yining Wu) that I supervised.
ASPIC (Argumentation Service Platform with Integrated Components) (2004-2007)
Collaborator on an FP6 EU funded project, with partners from France, Greece, Spain, United Kingdom, United States and the Netherlands. My involvement was as a postdoc at Utrecht University.
