Basic Perl Programming

In this section we will explore some basic Perl programming concepts.

Many of these concepts are similar to what you have learned in PASCAL or other programming languages.

However there are some differences.

We will focus on how Perl

• Defines and uses variables
• How basic math and string operations are performed.
• Learn some very useful Perl functions
