Writing/Creating Perl Scripts

Perl Scripts are basically text files with special perl syntax embedded in the text.

Therefore any texteditor can be used to create and edit you Perl files.

On the Macintosh Computer BBEdit Lite is the recommended text editor.

You can fire up this application as a stand alone program and edit files this way or MacPerl is actually configures to fire up BBEdit Lite as its preferred text editor.

MacPerl also has a simple text editor but for more advanced text editing BBEdit Lite is recommended.
