The preferred method of ftp for this course is to use NiftyTelnet/BetterTelnet PPC on the Macintosh Computers.
NiftyTelnet and BetterTelnet PPC is a relatively easy to use package.
Nifty Telnet has slightly better interface and you can resize your telnet window. Some of the Internet Helpeer applications start up BetterTelnet as default. Using the two packages is almost identical.
