H. 261 Compression has been specifically designed for video
telecommunication applications:
- Developed by CCITT in
1988-1990
- Meant for videoconferencing, videotelephone applications over
ISDN telephone lines.
- Baseline ISDN is 64 kbits/sec, and integral multiples (px64)
