Call
The Community track is pleased to announce a groundbreaking new track that challenges traditional conference presentation formats. The Interactions Track invites researchers to dive deeper, reflect more critically, and engage the community in more meaningful conversations about already published, groundbreaking, work.
‘Community’ offers a unique opportunity for researchers to:
- Revisit and expand upon previously published work
- Provide comprehensive contextual narratives that were constrained by original venue limitations
- Stimulate deeper community dialogue and critical reflection
- Offer nuanced insights into research journey, challenges, and broader implications
- Bring together separate works to discuss emergent areas, methods or themes in HCI research
Authors will have a 30-minute extended presentation slot, which they can structure to suit their needs, including but not limited to:
- Opportunity for in-depth Q&A and community dialogue
- Interactive panel or workshop-style engagement
- Interactive demonstration
There are no restrictions or categories for submissions, though we encourage authors to consider the conference theme.
Submission Guidelines
Who Can Submit:
- Researchers who have previously published at peer-reviewed HCI, design, computing, and interaction conferences or journal
- Work must have been presented, at least in part, at a recognized academic or professional venue within the last three years, prior to the 8th of November 2025.
- We invite authors to consider collaborating to present papers that share common threads but were originally not co-authored i.e., the work was not an original collaboration, at the conference as a shared presentation or panel discussion.
What We’re Looking For:
- Extended analyses of existing published research
- Critical reflections on research methodologies
- Deeper explorations of research context and potential future directions
- Candid discussions of research challenges, limitations, and unexpected discoveries
- Collaborative discussions of emergent areas in HCI
Submission Requirements:
- Original publication citation(s) from the author(s) that contribute to the proposed discussion, these must be published before the 8th of November 2025.
- Max 1 page extended abstract briefly detailing why this work should be featured, and the format you will take to present including proposed interactive engagement strategy, for example, if you would like to include an interactive demonstration
Review Process
All submissions will undergo a juried-by-committee process.
