Blocking Receive

• Consider the standard blocking receive routine:

        mpi_recv (
                  OUT start_of_buffer,
                  IN  max_number_of_items,
                  IN  datatype,
                  IN  source_rank,
                  IN  tag,
                  IN  communicator,
                  OUT return_status,
                  OUT error_code)

• In a receive routine, source_rank and tag can have the values mpi_any_source and mpi_any_tag.
