The Future of MPI
- MPI currently has (intentional) omissions:
- no process management
- no F90 or C++ bindings
- no support for fault tolerance
- I/O not addressed
- no support for active messages
- etc
- MPI Forum has begun meeting to address such advanced features.
- Several implementations of MPI exist.
