• Now when we call mpi_sendrecv to communicate we use the cached communicator, redistcomm.
• Any tag value may be used.

  call mpi_sendrecv (
      a(soffset), nsuperblks, newtype, dest, 0,
      b(roffset), nsuperblks, newtype, source, 0,
      redistcomm, status, ierr)

• If same type of redistribution is done many times in an application we could write a version that also caches
  • m, r, k, datatype;
  • the type, newtype;
  • the number of superblocks, nsuperblks;
  • send and receive schedule tables.
