this course (Except for first few lectures on Internet, Email Ftp etc.).
The treatment and presentation may be a little American in style but all the
major points are covered well. This book should be considered as the
essential purchase for this course.

-- Comprehensive Text. Covers everything
you probably need to know about the Internet. Most aspects of this lecture
course covered. A worthy purchase.

-- This book serves as a general
reference to the course. It includes a list of the
various Internet protocols. It also describes
what WWW resources are available. The book will
complement the rest of the course and serve as a decent
bookshelf reference.

Associates Inc.
x -- A remarkably concise yet
thorough book. Covers WWW, HTML, CGI/Perl, HTTP, JavaScript and Server
Configuration (A majority of the course).

Sheets etc.. Highly Recommended.
- HTML: The Definitive Guide, C. Musciano and B. Kennedy, O'Reilly
and Associates Inc. -- A very comprehensive and up-to-date
treatment of all aspects of HTML including Style Sheets Tables and Style Sheets.
Does not cover CGI programming.
CGI Scripts / Perl Programming BOOKS:
- Teach Yourself CGI Programming with Perl 5 in a Week, E.
Herrmann, Sams.Net -- Covers all aspects of CGI/Perl in this course and a
lot more. Good explanations but some errors in some Perl code listings.
- CGI Developer's Guide, E.E. Kim, Sams.Net --
Comprehensive guide to CGI programming with Perl (and C).
- CGI Programming on the World Wide Web, S. Gundavaram, O'Reilly and
Associates Inc. -- Good coverage of all aspects of CGI
programming.
- Learning Perl, R.L. Schwartz, O'Reilly and Associates Inc.
-- The best concise introduction to Perl.
- Programming Perl, L. Wall, T. Christiansen and R.L. Schwartz,
O'Reilly and Associates Inc. -- A comprehensive reference to
Perl, written by the inventor and early pioneers of the language. Excellent
reference book but not the best book to learn Perl first from.
