FTP Listing / FTP Download / FTP Upload

This topic has more relevance after the next chapter in the course. This section is mentioned here for completeness in relation the the Interachie Application. More details and use of this will follow shortly.

Interarchy's FTP window accepts information about a remote file or directory, and then does one of the following:

• Brings up a listing of the remote directory - see The Listing Menu for more information on how to use Listing windows
• Downloads a remote file
• Downloads a remote directory and all its contents, recursively
• Downloads a remote file and opens it in a program like SimpleText or BBEdit http://www.barebones.com/products/bbedit/bbedit.html.
• Saves a bookmark file, to automatically re-enter the information entered into the window for later use.
