Web Browsers

A Web browser is a special application that reads Web pages.

Common WWW browsers include:

Internet Explorer
-- Microsoft's Browser the most popular browser to date (By Hook or by crook - ask the US Judiciary). A competitor to Netscape Navigator.
Netscape Navigator
-- First Commercial browser, originated from Mosaic.
Mosaic
-- the first graphical browser.
Lynx
-- Text only browser.

You should be familiar with using Navigator by now. Further information on using all packages can be found by following Web links to the major sites (see below) or even from Help links within the browsers.
