We shall make some
some simplifying assumptions concerning the view of the object and
its complexity.
- The object is in a
general position -- no two things are accidentally lined up in the image because of a
special viewing position.
- The outer edges in the image --
its silhouette -- belong to faces which
occlude the background.
- The objects are of limited
complexity, and in particular that only three edges ever meet at a
vertex.
