My research interests lie in the areas of 3D reconstruction and face recognition.
I currently have particular interests in
- computer-aided bas-relief generation,
- machine learning approaches to shape from shading, and
- non-rigid 3D reconstruction from video.

EPSRC: Realistic Shape from Shading
The aim of this project is to develop an interactive SFS platform and combine techniques from image processing, shape-from-X etc. to achieve accurate shape recovery from sophisticated real-world images.
Experimental images for this project can be downloaded here.

RIVIC: Vision-based Geometric Modelling
The main topic of my research in this project is geometric generation of bas-reliefs from photographs using SFS
