We'll ask you to tell us just a few deatils and to choose a username and password. Once you have completed these details, you will be able to log in and access the Members area.
Becoming a member gives you access to the Health for Life community pages where you might like to browse the forum. There is also a space for you to save any useful links you discover elsewhere on the web in the personal bookmarks section.
Once registered and logged in you will be able to create your profile, this will allow the information we present to be tailored to your specific circumstances. Creating a profile also serves as a starting point for you to track your progress and reflect upon the benefits increased physical activity brings to your well-being.
Creating a profile should take no more than 10 minutes. The information we ask you to fill in matches very closely to the kinds of questions you would have been asked by your Exercise Practitioner throughout the Exercise Referral Scheme.
We hope you'll find the schedule feature useful. Once your profile is created you will quickly and easilly be able to generate a weekly schedule.
Events taking place at your local centre will be automatically displayed and you can add your own events to the weekly plan. Creating a weekly schedule should help you to integrate physical activity into your everyday life. We also suggest you set a weekly goal that corresponds to your schedule to help you track your progress.
Keeping a log of your exercise activity is a really good way of tracking progress. The journal feature gives you a place to keep a record of your successes goal achievements, as well as recording when things are perhaps not going quite so well.
Reflecting on these successes and difficulties should help you learn how you manage your physical activity and how the changes you are making are impacting on your quality of life.
